"when an artist wants to show you their art
or a writer wants you to read what they’ve written
it’s quite often an expression of trust
because a poem or a story or a painting are often things that come from the heart
little pieces of the artists themselves
and if they’re willing to share it with you
you should appreciate it"

^THIS. This so hard.
I mean, there are always things that people aren't very, well, confident of. Especially when it's something you made.
Speaking as a person who draws.
The person you want to show your initial drawing, after you're done with it or during the creation process, is someone you trust very much. Someone you confide in a lot. Someone really close.
Of course this doesn't speak true for all artists or writers, because some of them just directly upload the product.
And unfortunately, the recipient or that close someone you show it to just doesn't always react the way you hope they will.
At least, most of them just politely say : 'Oh cool. Nice. Awesome.'
Actually if you bother putting yourself in the shoes of the person who showed you it, you'd realise you sound really disinterested.
I really dislike people who go along. If you don't really like people showing you their stuffs, then please somehow explain to the person you're not into such things etc.
Then again. Appreciating someone's work isn't difficult.
If someone shares something with you, it shows that the person trusts and seek reassurance in you.
Actually, I don't really know what I'm saying anymore. I think I'm going off topic.
I think I'm blogging more often because I like my new blogskin. My relink skin was really funny too. Hahaha! :D
