I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE! THE RECENT CHAPTERS HAVE LEFT ME SO HIGH ON EDGE THAT I'VE DECIDED TO FINALLY VENT.
So well, if you don't read KHR, you should just ignore this post.
I've been reading so much reviews on the recent chapters, but I can't believe how people can churn out such humorous/silly/ignorant/smart/witty remarks.
So the things people have pointed out.
1. Hibari's sudden arrival despite having 'no watch' in chapter 400.
People actually complain about this? Why do you only complain about this now?
If you haven't realised, Enma and Byakuran both don't have watches either, but they are fighting.
This goes to show that all of them have join forces against Bermuda, regardless of the Arcobaleno Representive Battle.
They're ambushing on Bermuda's team, so as to disqualify them from participating and from winning the Representive war in order to save etc.
And whether or not this should be allowed, firstly, Checkerface seems to know but isn't attempting to stop them from battling anyway. Also, this is actually similar to the Vindice, who were originally outsiders of the Arcobaleno battle, defeating Enma's team and stealing their watches. Since outsiders could just interfere with the battle so freely, non-watch-users ought to be allowed to attack the Vindice.
No actually, forget that. Hibari ACTUALLY HAS A WATCH.
According to someone in the forums :
Well I think that should be the last watch memory serves we have: Team Reborn with 6 watches, Team Verde with 4, and Team Mammon with 3 for a total of 13 watches
And the number of fighters are 13. If you count them.
However, I think that there are more battle watches. The list goes here. If you count the remaining fighters and the mysterious blacked out members, there are 13.
But as said at the start of the war, each team has 6 battler watches and 1 boss watch. 7 fighters, excluding the Arcobaleno. 7 x 3 remaining teams = 21. Minus the members with broken watches (5) we get 16. But still, this is just my guess. Maybe the teams have also broken some spare watches, and the mysterious blacked out members in the list already indicate the spare watches, so there is really just 13...
2. Why weren't Dino, Mukuro and Hibari severely injured like the rest?
Silly you, did you think that Amano-sensei would severely injure/kill the characters that are more adored by the fans?
Hibari is definitely popular (he didn't even get a scar in this one! :O), plus Mukuro and Dino and definitely popular too~♪
Furthermore, at that pose, Jager would probably have cut Hibari's head off. Not amputate his limb or deal a blow through his stomach. Instant death. Vongola's Cloud guardian gone forever. Why would you whine about Tsuna preventing Hibari's death?
Plus another point to bring up is that Hibari and Mukuro weren't severely injured like the rest because this battle isn't the last. I suspect another major battle that'll come after this one ends, and the Vongola team will be fighting together again or so.
What's with people having a lust for certain characters' blood anyway? Fans are so scary
As to the other 3 defeated guys... we shall move on to our next point.
3. Xanxus, Squalo and Byakuran HAVE DIED?
Maybe it's just my lingering hope, but I don't think that they'll actually die. Holes in their bodies? -cough-
Sure they're 'oh-so-gory' and 'oh-so-fatal' but don't forget that Yamamoto used to have a huge drill going through his stomach and somehow he didn't die.
Indeed, maybe it's because Byakuran was still there to miraculously cure his injury completely, while now Byakuran himself has had a hand going right through his own tummy and might not be able to save himself, let alone save Squalo. Oh but I remember Yamamoto still being alive at the hospital with just the doctor's operation despite the hole.
Then again, -blabbing on with references to the hole in Yamamoto's stomach-, maybe it was just his luck that Yamamoto was found quickly by Ryohei and had some healing before the ambulance arrived, whereas Squalo and Byakuran weren't treated to any healing. (Which I want to complain about later.)
Then Xanxus. Lost an arm and two legs. In my POV, his legs might not have been amputated so cleanly. They might have been still attached on the edges or sth. Or am I harbouring too much hope?
In any case, amputated limbs can still be reattached with quick medical help (which they don't seem to be giving in any case) or Xanxus could just get bionic limbs. Damn, I could care less about Xanxus for some reason, cause he's so badass, he could be fighting while sitting on a wheelchair, like how he was sitting while battling against Rasiel. As long as Xanxus has a gun in an arm, that guy's going to keep fighting man. He's just got some badass fighting rage.
So well, I guess their deaths are still undetermined actually. I wouldn't be surprised at all, since it's a battle manga afterall, deaths might have been natural, if Amano-sensei hadn't saved the characters over and over again.
Squalo has lost his arm, almost gotten eaten by a shark, lost his sword arm again and almost died again in the TYL arc against Zakuro, but he still came back. Byakuran was supposed to have been defeated TYL, and I thought he was totally gone for good, but he came back in the present. I wondered why really, since Byakuran was a total enemy and no one really missed him when he was gone. And Xanxus... well, need I say more?
4. The last arc vibe.
Well yes. Many have been feeling that in a while.
A friend of mine said the Inheritance Arc would be the last, but it didn't end there.
Let's see what remains lacking in KHR before concluding it's the last arc.
- Uncle Kawahira - Not sure if everyone has forgotten him. The ramen guy with a Hell Ring who helped hide Uni TYL. He remains an enigma.
- The Hell Rings - Not so much of a mystery, but other than knowing some of the people who possess the Hell Rings, we don't really know much about them. I thought they were quite interesting, and perhaps Amano-sensei would elaborate them in the future as a plot device.
- The Inheritance Ceremony - Something totally left hanging. The last time we see the Ninth and his guardians was on the ship near the Shimon island, being completely useless spectators. Other than Tsuna calling the Ninth to find out about Talbot's location, we don't hear anything about them. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CEREMONY. Was it postponed or cancelled? The way the Ninth generation handled it was just, oh the arc's over, so we'll just go home and continue with our lives kthxbye. I know that we'll come back to it eventually somehow when KHR really ends, but at least show some responsibilty on the Ninth's part, like say 'It appears that now is not the right time for the 10th's inheritance yet, Tsunayoshi. We'll discuss this issue again soon. By then, I'm sure you'll be more than qualified to be Vongola Tenth' or some other excuse to disappear.
- Checker Face - He was said to be in control of the Trinisette. Which didn't make sense really, since we know in the TYL arc, Byakuran managed to get his hands on the Trinisette. Meaning he could defeat Checker Face? Would that mean that in ten years time Byakuran's fighting abilities will grow to the extent he could defeat Checkerface? Yet Tsuna is already stronger than that TYL Byakuran, and Byakuran inherited his memories he should be as powerful as his TYL self. Also, Checkerface made himself to look like he's some all-powerful god, to be controlling the Arcobaleno etc. What the heck is he and what's his purpose?
- Tsuna destroying the Mafia - He once mentioned that he wanted to destroy the mafia during his Vongola Trial or sth. So this could be a point that can be further elaborated on.
- Tsuna becoming Vongola 10th and TYL - Honestly, I don't think there's any more point in Tsuna trying not to be a Vongola boss, since he has already passed the Vongola Trials (approved by the Primo even) and has already done so much in the name of Vongola. HE ALREADY OWNS THE SKY VG. So let us see a TYL Tsuna before KHR ends. Though I admit this might not be necessary, since a chapter on TYL won't have much material except seeing his face and the people etc.
- Bovino family - Lambo's mysterious family which created the 10 Year Bazookas. Seriously, their family could potentially produce some great weapons or something.
- CEDEF - Well, I wanted to see what they do exactly and what the 'outside' company does. Unimportant, but can be expanded on.
- Fon and Ipin - It was said that Ipin was trained by Fon and Fon sealed her Pinzu-timed explosion thing, but nothing much is known. Furthermore, it was said that she had incredible growth potential, but all we see her doing recently is nothing except to be an annoyingly playful girl.
- Bring back the side characters - We have had Tsuna's powerful opponents come back as allies eg. Xanxus, Squalo, Rokudo Mukuro and Byakuran. But has no one realised that the characters from the Daily Life Arc were also once so powerful and overwhelming? Plus even side characters like Genkishi and Lancia didn't get their chance at returning. Remember Lancia? Even Bianchi was really strong once, with her poison cooking and TYL she even had scorpions. It's time for an upgrade. Fuuta as well, his ranking ability could be really useful. Amano-sensei has not put it to good use. Fuuta was once so wanted by families and even led to the Kokuyo Arc by getting kidnapped, but currently they became forgotten.

11. Lancia's ring - You remember how Lancia's ring saved Tsuna in the TYL battle right? It could posses some sort of power on its own, so it might be interesting.
12. Longchamp family - He appeared earlier along with a desolation bullet, and returned for the Inheritance ceremony. There could be something interesting in the Longchamp family?
13. Cavallone family - Yup. Dino doesn't appear to have his own guardians (most families don't seem like they have them anyway) but he has Romario who seems to able to do any of Dino's requests. LOL.
14. Vacation Resort - VERY VERY LONG AGO, Vongola was said to own a vacation resort. It was the chapter where Colonello was interoduced. Maybe they could revisit it.
15. Seven flames of the Earth - The Shimon family are the only ones who carry the flames of the Earth? I always thought it weird that they had 7 flames of their own, different from the Sky. Maybe there's other carriers?
16. Rokudo Mukuro's past - Well it seemed interesting. The Estraneo family, the forbidden bullet and how he got his powers.
17. More emphasis on Lambo and lightning flame - Lambo remains totally forgotten as a guardian in this chapter. Not sure if you realised, battles concerning Lambo or the Lightning flame are short lived and are lacklustre. Except for Gamma and a few of Lambo's battles, the Lightning flame seems really underestimated and ... weak. Even the Sun guardian gets a bit more spotlight than Lambo, and that's saying something.
I had a lot more, even weird loopholes about KHR, but those are just 'Reborn Logic' and can't really be explained I suppose.
KHR could continue, because there's actually a lot of material to work on. But these aren't really important stuff that must be covered if Amano-sensei decides to bring KHR to an end. Most of the points are just things that are lacking in KHR and waiting to be elaborated on.
Of course, there isn't any problem with KHR ending soon, most readers don't even want to know all that much about irrelevant points mentioned above. The recent chapters do seem rushed, maybe Amano-sensei wants to end it soon. Maybe it got axed? (Unlikely though, seeing that KHR will probably need more than 15 chapters to end this arc and conclude KHR.)
Though I must say, this is WSJ we're talking about, popular series don't end easily.
5. Resolutions of Curse of Arcobaleno arc?
To defeat Jager and find his weakness,
There are several similar theories put forth by a few people:
- Bermuda is the source of flame supply for Jager. He needs to recharge every now and then. Thus, Jager couldn't warp when Hibari attacked with his VG, as Jager ran out of flames. Right after Hibari's attack, Bermuda was seen to jump on Jager's shoulder again, probably to supply flames. This is also hinted by Small Gia, that they're undefeatable as long as they're together. It might also be important to note that SG's breathing became shallow after being defeated, possibly because he was drained of the flames without the presence of Bermuda.
- There is a 'cooldown' time in between the use of Jager's short warps so he couldn't short warp immediately when Hibari attacked.
- Jager can only short-warp when he's moving quickly. He was in a standstill when Hibari suddenly hit him so he couldn't warp immediately.
- Defeated Vindice powers were being transferred to Jager, that's why SG was panting.
- Hibari attacked from the front, while most attacks towards Jager were when the characters had to turn to attack Jager who were behind them. (??)
Don't really know about these theories. I would say some of them are quite plausible...but I don't know. I didn't include some theories I read cause they were really... stupid.
This is Amano Akira we're talking about. REBORN LOGIC. Plus there might be uh, other factors that haven't been introduced yet.
Anyway, we do know Reborn's going to do a combo with Tsuna when Tsuna comes. But honestly. Last time check, Fon said there was only 1 min left. From the looks of it, Tsuna and Jager will fight a bit, then battle time runs out. Tsuna's team will deal with the damage dealt and they'll prepare for next battle.
In any case, when they figure out Jager's weakness and defeat him, there's still Bermuda's 'Present Please', then Checkerface to deal with and the Arcobalenos' lives.
PS. I've got a lot more to say, but I had to return to studying for a test. Saved this as draft up till now, but chapter 401 is out. I'm going to read it now, so yep. =_=
